		Research areas Ray Koh is assisting in gaining a greater understanding on how the immune system recognises glycolipid antigens. Unlike the adaptive immune response towards peptide antigens bound to the Major Histocompatibility Complex, the immune response to lipids can be more innate in character. Glycolipids are presented by the CD1 family, and my project explores the structural basis of how a T-cell Receptor from a Natural Killer T-cell interacts with glycolipids bound to the CD1d family member.
