		Research areas Dr Keith Al-Hasani completed a Bachelor of Arts (French Studies) at Monash University and received his PhD from the same Institution working on pathogenicity islands and their role in virulence. Prior to joining the Centre, he worked as a postdoctoral scientist with the Cell and Gene Therapy group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute on the development of vectors for second generation human BAC libraries as well as creating humanised animal models for thalassemia research. Dr Al-Hasani is one of several certified Mental Health First Aid Officers at Monash University who can be reached on (03) 9905 4838 for private consultation pertaining to matters regarding mental health issues.
