		Research areas Dr Steer is the Manager of the Monash Biomedical Proteomics Facility. This Facility is principally involved in the provision of mass spectrometry and gel based proteomic technologies for a wide variety of laboratories both from within Monash and from a variety of other research institutions within Australia. This Facility is service-based that is available to members of the ARC Centre for services ranging from basic sample analyses, mass determinations and protein identifications, to more substantial proteomics project collaborations. David's interests include protein characterisation ranging from sequence analysis to post translational modification analysis. David is also involved in a number of projects using mass spectrometry based quantitation methods using isobaric mass tagging and label-free quantitation methods.
